Executive Women of Color Summit Sponsorship

This spring on May 26-27, 2021, The Leverage Network’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it will host its 6th Annual two-day virtual Executive Women of Color (EWOC) Summit. The Summit’s theme is “Hindsight is 2020: Again We Rise, Survive and Thrive” The EWOC Summit is a professional leadership and Board Governance Conference designed to:

  • Amplify individual executive women of color leadership trajectory and
  • Advocate and promote increased representation at the Board of Directors level across all spectrums of the healthcare industry.

The EWOC Summit brings together some of the most dynamic, influential and successful women in healthcare and corporate America to share candid, authentic conversations and lessons learned.

With shifting US demographics, investor pressure, coupled with social and civic unrest there is heightened focus on diversity in the C-Suite and on corporate boards. This has become especially important in healthcare where recent research conducted by TLN demonstrates that blacks represent only 9% of board seats held in the largest healthcare companies in the country. At the helm of these major healthcare companies there are currently only 4 black CEOs of which none are black women. If we are to find racial and health equity we must change this dynamic which is at the heart of our mission. This Summit is critical to continuing to support black women to Rise, Survive and Thrive. Our health depends on it!

The Summit continues to grow, attendance increased in size last year by 33%. Of those attendees 71% were healthcare executives and 29% from Corporate. While our focus remains healthcare we are intentionally working to diversify the audience across all industries to broaden the richness of the networking experience. Surveys from the Summit and sessions continue to reap rave reviews averaging 4.5 out of a 5 star rating.

We would like to invite you and your organization to experience the growth and richness of the EWOC Summit while being a part of changing the dynamic.
