Executive Women of Color Summit Sponsorship
This spring on May 27-28, 2020, at the Ritz Carlton Chicago, Illinois, The Leverage Network’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it will host its 5th Annual two-day Executive Women of Color (EWOC) Summit. The Summit’s theme is “2020 Vision: Transforming with Clarity, Purpose and Action”. The EWOC Summit is a professional leadership and Board Governance Conference designed to:
- Amplify individual executive women of color leadership trajectory and
- Advocate and promote increased representation at the Board of Directors level across all spectrums of the healthcare industry.
There is a critical need for inclusive leadership; shifting US demographics and investor pressure in the United States have increased the focus on diversity in the C-Suite and on corporate boards. Women and Minorities have made record breaking increases in board representation from 2012 to 2018. However the raw numbers remain small. African American/Black women saw an increase in Fortune 500 board seats of 26.2% in 2018, yet we represent less than 3% of total Fortune 500 seats at 2.6%. Through our work and commitment, The Leverage Network (TLN) looks to change those dynamics in the corporate healthcare space.
The EWOC Summit brings together some of the most dynamic, influential and successful women in healthcare and corporate America to share candid, authentic conversations and lessons learned. Your journey and successes, coupled with the challenges and lessons learned will be more than valuable to summit at-tendees. They need to hear your story. The Summit continues to grow; attendance increased in size last year by 33%. Of those attendees 71% were healthcare executives and 29% from Corporate. While our focus remains healthcare we are intentionally working to diversify the audience across all industries to broaden the richness of the networking experience. Surveys from the Summit and sessions continue to reap rave reviews averaging 4.5 out of a 5 star rating.
