Rashard Johnson joined Atrium Health in February 2023 as the Senior Vice President, Market President– South with Atrium Health. Rashard is responsible for the oversight of the South Market and leads the development and day-to-day operations of key facilities. He is also responsible for forecasting and implementing market-focused business plans in support of the overall Atrium Health enterprise-wide strategies and priorities. Rashard coordinates and collaborates with executive leadership, market management teams, community and the medical staff key stakeholders to continuously improve safety and quality, patient care, customer service, financial performance and operational excellence.
Previously, Rashard was Chief Executive Officer for Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital and Emory Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. Rashard joined EHC from Advocate Aurora Health in Chicago where he was President of Advocate Trinity and South Suburban Hospitals. In this role, Rashard oversaw the strategic direction and operation of Advocate Trinity’s 205-bed hospital and provided executive leadership over Advocate South Suburban Hospital’s 230 beds and support services, 700 physicians, 2,100 team members and building facilities. Rashard led the development and implementation of market growth strategies, as well as tactical plans to achieve high-quality, cost-effective patient care and operational excellence. He has also held prior leadership roles as the Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer for the North Houston Market at St. Luke’s Health in Houston, a Catholic Health Initiatives affiliate. In this capacity, Rashard provided executive leadership for three hospitals with 276 beds and 12 outpatient care centers. Additional leadership roles include the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Jackson Health System in Miami and the Miami Veteran Affairs Healthcare System.
