James A. Nixon serves as the Chief Operating Office at Meadows Regional Medical Center and is an innovative and passionate executive with over a decade of leadership experience in hospital and system level operations, service line development, turnarounds, mergers & acquisitions, system integration, employee engagement, community relations, strategy and entrepreneurship. 

James completed his bachelor’s degree in Finance at Mercer University and his Master of Science in Health Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is Board Certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Management and has spent the last 10 years as an administrative leader in the healthcare field.

James, a native of Tifton, Georgia, served as the Vice President in different capacities and divisions at Tift Regional Health System. James and his wife Angeanette McCall Nixon, a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor, are eager to become involved in the Meadows Regional health system and the local community.
