Rex Everett is a results-oriented healthcare executive with over 40 years of experience. A native of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, Rex began his career in healthcare as a janitor at Vidant Medical Center (Pitt County Memorial Hospital) while pursuing a degree in Education at East Carolina University. He is currently Vice President of Business Development with TeamHealth, one of the nation’s largest hospital-based physician services organizations. During his 16-year tenure with TeamHealth, Rex has consistently surpassed annual sales goals and, on several occasions, has received the company’s award for highest new business sales. He is a charter member of TeamHealth’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion National Committee and serves as Co-hair of the Black Cultural Resource Group. 

Before joining TeamHealth, Rex spent five years with Sodexo Services in the company’s Health-care Division as General Manager, University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, and as Regional Director of Business Development. Rex held out-sourcing and in-sourcing leadership roles in hospitals and at the system level throughout his healthcare career. Rex is the founder of K&R Partners, a nurse recruiting firm, and a franchisee with Leadership Management International, Inc., focusing on leadership development. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a concentration in the Sociology of Healthcare from the University of Houston. Rex is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an active member of the National Association of Health Services Executives since 2002 and currently serves on the Senior Advisory Board for the Houston, TX chapter.
