Marijka Grey, MD, MBA, FACP is n accomplished healthcare executive with an aptitude for working in complex, matrixed systems and ascertaining their technology needs. With more than 20 years of real-world hospital and health system leadership experience that has always been intertwined with the use of cutting edge health-tech and process transformation, Marijka has a proven track record of identifying and implementing technologies that will truly transform how healthcare is delivered.

Marijka began her career at WellSpan Health where she led ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations across a multispecialty system and then progressed through various information technology, quality and leadership roles, eventually becoming a regional medical director, with a team of 7 direct reports and managing an 800 physician and Advanced Practice Provider team that supported 3 hospitals and over 200 ambulatory sites. She joined Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) in 2018 as president of the CHI Memorial Medical Group in Chattanooga, TN, and with the merger of Dignity Health and CHI to become CommonSpirit Health, she was recruited by the Physician Enterprise’s executive team to lead ambulatory transformation across CommonSpirit’s 21 state, 1100 ambulatory site footprint. Her career path has given her deep insight into medical group and hospital operations, technology needs of both the patients and caregivers and the ways that technology can help lead to better health for all while alleviating the burdens of an already struggling healthcare sector.

Recent achievements include the widespread rollout of telehealth at CommonSpirit Health with continued usage at 7% of all ambulatory visits, representing approximately $250 million in revenue annually and the rollout of artificial intelligence software across the Dignity Health California market -utilizing bots to do clinical intake, registration, copay collection and medication reconciliation.

Currently, Marijka serves as President of the Chattanooga Hamilton County Medical Society and leads their board in that capacity, having served as a board member and President-elect in the 3 previous years. She also serves currently on the Memorial Health Care Network board, Memorial Hospital’s local Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and had previously held a 9 year tenure on the WellSpan Provider Network Board, another ACO within the WellSpan Health system.
