Rosalyn Carpenter
Rosalyn Carpenter is the Chief Diversity Officer for CommonSpirit Health, the merged entity of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, encompasses 800+ care locations, approximately 150,000 employees, and $29.2 billion in revenues. Delivering clinical excellence through hospitals and care centers covering 21 states, CommonSpirit Health is accessible to nearly one in four U.S. residents.
Rosalyn is a nationally recognized diversity leader, an experienced change agent, and highly skilled in consensus building.
Rosalyn has held executive roles with Catholic Health Initiatives, HealthTrust Purchasing Group and HCA. She has served as President & CEO of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee and Executive Director of the Metropolitan Human Relations Commission of Nashville, TN and Davidson County.
Rosalyn is a graduate of Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College in Health Care Administration & Planning and holds an Executive MBA from Tennessee State University.
Rosalyn is known as a community servant and has held political appointments and affiliations ranging from the Tennessee Board of Economic Development, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Board of Commissioners, Leadership Nashville Alumni Board of Directors to St. Pius X School Board of Directors.
Rosalyn brings a wealth of community, professional, and life experiences to her life work of diversity and inclusion. Presently she serves on the Catholic Health Association Special Committee to the Board on Diversity and Health Equity, The Leverage Network Executive Women of Color Summit Planning Committee, the HSDA (Healthcare Supplier Diversity Advisory Council) and is the immediate past chair of the NMSDC (National Minority Supplier Development Council) healthcare industry group, Robert Woods Johnson Health Policy Center at Meharry Medical College National Advisory Board, and is a member of Denver (CO) Chapter, The Links Incorporated.
